HVAC Installer
What Is the role?
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Installer to join our installation team. You will be responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. You’ll be on the front lines ensuring quality installations, proper system performance, and customer satisfaction in what is arguably one of the most important positions at our family-owned company.
About you
We are especially interested in finding installers with experience in both traditional and modern HVAC systems (e.g. heat pumps, smart thermostats, ductless mini-splits). You might not have experience with all the newest technologies, but you are motivated to learn deeply. You will get the opportunity to work with experienced team members who can provide guidance and support to help you develop new skills. You care about safety, quality workmanship, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Above all, you seek operational excellence and apply the best installation practices possible. Not everything that you or your team do can be perfect, but you make sure that you always know the trade-offs.
Your Role
As an HVAC Installer, you will:
- Install new HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and building codes;
- Be solely responsible for proper equipment setup and initial system testing;
- Use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure efficient and reliable system operation; and
- Complete all work in accordance with industry standards and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and installation instructions.
- Connect systems to fuel, water, and electrical supplies.
- Install ductwork, vents, and piping systems.
- Test and inspect systems to verify proper operation.
Requirements
We are looking for an HVAC installer with at least 2 years of experience in residential and/or commercial installations. HVAC certification and EPA certification preferred. Must have strong mechanical skills, knowledge of building codes, and excellent attention to detail.
