HVAC Technician

What Is the role?

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician who will lead our service and repair operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our valued customers. You’ll be on the front lines solving problems and ensuring comfort in what is arguably one of the most critical positions at our family-owned company.

About you

We are especially interested in finding technicians with experience in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical components of various HVAC systems (e.g. furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps). You might not have experience with all system types, but you are motivated to learn deeply. You will get the opportunity to work with both residential and commercial systems with experienced team members who can help expand your knowledge base. You care about accuracy, efficiency, customer communication, and quality repairs. Above all, you seek operational excellence and apply the best service practices possible. Not everything that you or your team do can be perfect, but you make sure that you always know the trade-offs.

Your Role

As an HVAC Technician, you will:

  1. Maintain client HVAC systems through regular scheduled maintenance;
  2. Be solely responsible for accurate diagnosis and quality repairs;
  3. Use commercially reasonable efforts to extend equipment life and improve system efficiency; and
  4. Perform all work in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Explain technical issues and solutions to customers in understandable terms.
  • Complete detailed service reports for all jobs.

Requirements

We are looking for an HVAC technician with at least 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial service. HVAC certification and EPA certification required. Strong troubleshooting skills, electrical knowledge, and excellent customer service abilities are essential.
